For the past 18 years Iory Harris owned a company in Charlotte, NC, USA, which specialised in organising antique buying groups to Europe . He has recently sold his interests in that corporation, and started a company offering a more personalised and flexible service to antique dealers, decorators and private individuals, wishing to buy antiques in England, Ireland, France and Italy.

The buying trips range from between two and eight days, and are customised for individuals and small groups of up to seven people. The emphasis is very much on maximising buying time, combined with that all important personal attention.

Iory is based close to London, and has been established in the antique business for 30 years. In those years, he has had the great pleasure of travelling across America , (44 States in all), visiting clients' homes and businesses. This has helped him to gain an understanding and awareness of different trends and values that exist there. As a long standing member of the American Appraisal Society, he is very well qualified to assist in verifying authenticity, assessing values and negotiating for the very best prices. His expertise is in Georgian furniture and silver: and having guided clients through Europe for the past 12 years, he has acquired excellent knowledge and appreciation of 18th and 19th century continental furniture, architectural items and accessories. Iory has an unrivalled knowledge of sourcing, including trade warehouses, dealers, fairs and auction houses; and is respected by antique dealers throughout Europe for his knowledge, professionalism and honesty.
